Hello
With win 7, the AE startup window appears with the dialog box partially covered. Does anyone know how to change the position of the dialog windows?

Go to Windows and at the bottom of the menu select "Reset Window Positions" and just drag the two towards the bottom out of the way.

This only applies to the 4 windows (Tools, Action event, Time event, Location event), which can be clicked on via the "Window" menu.
It is not possible for the two dialogs 103 and 155, which are visible in the lower half of the screen.

Try changing the screen resolution.

Reinstalling or changing the screen resolutiom does not change the incorrect display.
Since the AE image is a composition of individual windows, programming this situation must be possible somewhere.

I suppose it is possible that the dialog locations could be Windows Registry entries.

I don't have MSTS installed anymore otherwise I would take a look.

Sorry, mate, it appears to be hard-coded into train.exe.

After I successfully created my RE screen resizer, I've been asked several times about doing something similar for AE, but I've not been able to find the 'key'! I would think that, after 20 years, there never was one!! Still, nil desperandum, somebody, somewhere may come up with a brilliant idea and we'll all say "Why didn't I think of that?" ... but, please, don't hold your breath
