Been testing and trying out various games and routes on my new laptop. I am rather impressed with it's performance. Even on the MRL Mullan Pass, I range between 25-115fps in Open Rails. Sure beats the heck out of the 1-3fps I use to get on my old non gaming laptop that has reached it's limits..

Where's the van!

Just noticed that the signals are turned 90 degrees from the track, what's the story behind them?

Most likely the signals are out of service. Turning the heads away from the track is the most common way of indicating that to train crews.

Cool video...I took a real-world video similar to that of an ore train led by some dash 8s. I wonder if one really can make a beam span that long without a support pier, though...

Signals are facing the rails correctly, just an odd angle that I am located at.

I believe these spans can be up to 100 feet without a support pier in the middle, depending how it's built.

I was kind of surprised with the lack of support under the bridge too. Those covered hoppers are 58 feet long, so that bridge is a 200 footer with no support.

Ah, well, could be an oversight, or could be built to last. My father use to be a Bridge builder/Iron Worker, however, asking him these questions are a bit... difficult.

Though, I've seen bridges for roads with a span like this, with extremely thick girders/beams, so, I don't think it's too far fetched.

I would imagine there are 200 foot plate girder bridges out there, just unusual.
