Hand Signals
Okay, in this video between 5:40-6:00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO4xn-NJjmU
The yard foreman signals that he has “Two for Four”
What does that mean in railroad terms.
I assume it means, he is supposed to throw four cars but he only throws two at a time.
Please correct me if I’m wrong.

One of my best friends ever was a brakeman for the Santa Fe during the time period of that film.
"Two for Four" means two cars for track 4.
