Thread: Random Gaps in Tiles

    Default Random Gaps in Tiles

    Hello Goku/all,

Something weird happen during a heavy tile painting session. Essentially I had first mapped all my tiles with google maps terrain, but am now converting it to regular texture tiles. While applying tiles on tile A, I noted that the following effect was seen on tile B, i.e. random gaps appeared on one of the tiles. I have seen this happen several times now, and although I know its related to tile painting, I cant pinpoint what exact action causes this.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Joe,

Just had this happen the other day, not sure what I did to trigger it but it's easy enough to fix.

    Tools>Terrain

Select Gaps at the top right, it will have a + beside it by default.

Move the cursor to the left side of the void, right click and select Gap from the menu, then select Hide.

    Click next to the void.

Yes, that's exactly what I did. No big deal, but the random nature is a little troubling, as it might happen not necessarily on the active tile.
