Well, i have to say, i have been "working" on clouds file but did not go for skydome. Problem i had was this "fish eye".
Since i have been reading your reaserch in how woulld one create one, this info will definitely give me inspiration to further work on this.

This looks very good i must say.

Thank you for all the info and have goo day Scott.

    Hi.

    Thanks for the comments !

Yeah - the software isn't cheap but with a monthly subscription it seems manageable - only paying for it when you need it.

It's certainly better than using normal photographs and converting them to the "Fisheye" texture in an image editor.

If you try the software - I can send you one of my files to see how I set these up.

Hopefully we figure out a way to fix the ORTS distortion.

    Best of luck.

    Regards,
    Scott

    Hi Folks,

If anyone wants to try a new Skydome - you can get it here:
    https://mega.nz/file/ksoC3b5R#hdSIgu...DFen4UMldnSARs

I've toned down the brightness a bit as the white color of the clouds was getting blasted out.

It's quite a large texture at 10,000x10,000 pixels - if anyone has any trouble with performance - I'd appreciate a heads up. It runs fine on my old box which is a Sandy Bridge with a GTX970 video card.

    Regards,
    Scott

Hey Scott....Nicely done on that skydome. Just installed it on my system and runs fine. Looks really good on the Cima Sub. Keep up the good work

Yes, this is more like it should be. It works really well indeed.
I don't know about others but this is worth looking into, for myself and maybe for others.

Thank you for sharing this one.

    Hi Neil,

Absolutely gorgeous shots there - sir - LOL - like you take any shots that aren't...

I need to add a good greyish Skydome to my list for that cold stark Winter look.

    Thanks for posting !

    Regards,
    Scott
