So it's not as simple as looking at the gross amount offered - individual stockholder considerations could be important.
I agree with this as well. CP should be rewarded here to expand its operations. More regulation headaches for CN. But wow they are scrapping!

And here I thought the biggest rivalry in Canada was hockey-related...

From a strictly regulatory standpoint, CP certainly has an easier shot at pulling off a merger, but I doubt that will stop CN from trying to brute-force their way in anyway, if for no other reason than to spite CP

Hmmmm, figure CP can top this? So CN doesn't end up with egg on it's face?

Kansas City Southern likely to start talks with CN Rail.

It looks like I may need some Kansas City Southern units as part of my CN fleet on my routes.

That's what I was thinking of to get some Kansas City Southern locomotives. I believe that some are freeware here in the file library.

I'd like to have the black-yellow striped ones, but I lack the SLI BNSF shape units needed. I have purchased the CN and CP ones from SLI but they don't quite match.

Looks like KCS is ready to merge with CN and CN will be paying the penalty for the cancelation. All up to the TSB now.

Question is, will they allow the merger to take place?

    Thanks

    Sean
