I tried to bring it back to the original post. Honestly this is a cool conversation and doesn't bother me one bit. Even if it did shouldn't bother anyone because they can ignore. But you know it's just a matter of time... Unless of course you're more liked than I am Seems that is the trigger to call the police. I won't rock the boat any further as my posts can be toxic. I'll save it for my YouTube channel where topics like this gets the least amount of views.

    Thanks

    Sean

Anyway Run 8 is the tarts whatsits of train games.

Run 8 you gotta have it folks, it's the topper most of the popper most.

Run 8 deffo worthing spending your money on.

Run 8 not perfect but far better than anything from DTG & N3V.

    Run 8 v2 i give it 8 out of 10.

Run 8 i deducted 2 points for lousy AI control and crappy graphics.

    How's that Sean

This is fun. Hey I like this thread (and even your discussion) I just didn't want to see it die. That's my new nickname "Thread Killer". I'll play along with this.

I don't mind the graphics I think they are swell (you should see what I'm building) but I agree on the AI (you should see what I'm building)

Have to call you TK, from now on Sean

I can't be serious for 5 minutes buddy.

But the graphics are not much better than Open Rails and that is free.

Ok TK spill the beans, what are you building ?

Who's TK. Oh that's me. I thought you meant Tony Khan.

It's in the general section. Very early images.

    More to come.

    Thanks

After another frustrating evening trying to get DTGs botched loading scenarios on Clinchfield working, think it’s time to return to my Busy SoCal save game in Run 8.

The realism is certainly better than the DTG stuff.

I am beginning to come back round to thinking, even Trainz is better than TSW at least for the North American freight.

Funny I was just watching the old Green Frog video of the Rogers Pass helpers in the snow and really wishing we could have that route in Run 8, eventually all the way from Calgary to Vancouver.

TRS19 (Trainz) allows merging of routes. Best when the routes are designed to be merged (obviously.) But if you make a few transitional boards even routes not designed to go together can be merged. I'm not "pushing" TRS19, just providing info. I have and use 4 different sims. All have their good points and bad. You might check out "Canadian Rocky Mountains." One nice large Freeware route is UMR2021.
