Hey everyone. Sorry to bump an older thread that I started awhile ago but didn't feel like starting a brand new one. Any ways Josh and I are back at it with working on the Midwest Mega route. Lately I have mainly been focusing on the CP River Sub from St Paul to La Crosse, WI and the BNSF St Croix Sub from St Paul to La Crosse. My main goal is to finish up roads and track work between the two and add in more scenery. I then plan on working my way down river towards Chicago with roads and track work. I did successfully run the Milwaukee Road 261 steam locomotive and passenger consist from its home base in Minneapolis all the way down to La Crosse and back home using our official schedule that we had back when we would run on the route. I had one little glitch at La Cressent when I went to go turn it but after some rework of track work I had no further issues running. I plan on doing this with every route after I am completed with track work to make sure they are all in working order. I have also done a little work on the BNSF Hinckley Sub from Minneapolis to the Twin Ports of Duluth and Superior. Putting in more track work and roads on that route as well. Another thing is the whole St Croix Valley short line Railroad in the Hinckley area is done track wise as well. As for the Chicago area Josh and I are trying to get some of the Chicago yards back in place and slowly converting them over to Scale Rail instead of X Tracks.
