Q457 (11hrs in Run8, but not one session)

After setting up the work order, I started my day at around 5am at Taft West Yard. I think I got the designation current.



Once assembled, we kick off brakes bound for Waycross. The train had to pickup a cut of autoracks at Sanford and drop them, along with about 15 other cars, at Jacksonville. We were also tasked with picking up a cut there.



I didn't have trouble in Sanford. However, I had trouble getting some cars to uncouple at Moncrief. It took a couple of tries. I also assigned and decided to keep a mid-DUP. In this picture, we are leaving JAX behind and a train runs through. It was a little after 1pm.





Of course, I trip a detect detector close to 2pm. It was a hotbox.



I don't usually take screenshots with the HUD on, but it had been a long trip. Also, I think the HUD replaces feel. You can see on screen what a crew would feel.

11 hours after starting, I arrive at Waycross. I have a GTX 2070 (didn't want to wait for the 3080) and 10th Gen CPU. My heavily populated yard slowed to 40fps, which is fine.

Yes. RTX2070. I am use to GTX. I really wanted at 3070 or 3080, but I couldn't find one when I built this system. I intend to install the game on my older GTX980 and hope it runs as smoothly in the yards as it does now.

i have a RTX3060 on this laptop and Its Murdering Run8 right now, unlimited frames ive seen 300FPS+ with GSync and my display is 360Hz refresh

The game runs well on my old system. Southeastern Region doesn't have as many trains across all subdivisions as Southern California. I have 25 trains going at any time, pull up in yards and still above 60fps.

I was wondering how Run8 would do on a real gaming laptop. I tried to use my girlfriend's Acer Nitro5, and the game said, "HELL NO!" I imagine an RTX3000 series would fair better. Cheers to the gaming up. I'm sure you have a beast.
