    Default Phil Moberg

    Hi All,

I am very sad to inform you that Phil Moberg, one of the old veterans of MSTS, has passed away. I just received a notification from his wife. Phil was 67.

He was my first mentor when I was a newbee back in 2004-5, my source for New Haven Railroad models, paint diagrams, etc. His models of New Haven and Boston & Maine passenger equipment in the file library were the only ones I have ever found.

Phil was generous with his time, a pleasure to work with. He also encouraged me to reach out to Gaetan Belanger, launching a partnership (BLW/ZT) that has been ongoing for nearly 16 years. Phil was also active with the Warehouse Point trolley museum in Connecticut.

Please keep Phil and his family in your prayers.

    Hi,

I also got this notification in my mailbox, and it brought me back to this forum. It also brought back some happy memories to Phil, who helped me a lot with getting the correct lettering/color scheme for the New Haven EF4.

    Thank you Phil!
    with kind regards,
    Simon

Thanks for posting the obituary. I see he was a member at Seashore Trolley Museum in Maine where I am currently a member and an operator. He was probably there before my time. May he rest in peace.
