    Question V2 & V3 Informal Poll

Just out of curiosity out of the the small sample here that have used Run8 V2 (not on my ignore list) I'm curious of the following:

    1) Purchasing V3 as soon as it's available

    2) Purchasing V3 after release if it has the features I'm looking for

    3) Sticking with V2 as I'm into other things

For everything I officiall know I'm option 2.

    Thanks

    Sean

Probably between 2 and 3, or maybe 2a (!) - once it's out and some balanced (not rose tinted) reviews have appeared. Not likely to be a Day 1 purchase. It will also depend what's on offer, not just in terms of the operational side but graphic, sound and interface updates.

I'm probably in the 2) group. And that, primarily because I still haven't figured out v2 yet.

I'm not going to stand in a queue, but I'll buy it once it's available.

Option 2 only if it includes the things i require.

I have given up buying train games, just because of their subject matter.

I'll go with No.2. I need to see what V3 offers.

Option 2, "Maybe" some time after release, once the development and on going support is clear on the future of this sim.

Suggest you run this poll next July in 2022 Sean, when we are still possibly waiting for v3 to be released and see what option we all be considering then .

I rarely show up here, but I do have Run8 V2 which I enjoy occasionally for the challenge. I don't do multiplayer -- at all; it's just an enjoyable, interesting "sandbox" for me. As such, if V3 comes out, I may wait a bit and then upgrade if it offers significant improvements for me. But I won't necessarily rush in.

To be fair, after some major job changes and a cross-country move, my time in train sims has been much more limited and somewhat in competition from advances in Microsoft's Flight Simulator and the ETS2/ATS truck sims, and some Web projects to get back on-line. As it stands, V2 is quite good and enjoyable at this spot in my life. I don't have a need to upgrade -- we'll see if that turns into a "want" in the future.
