Static consists added not showing in activity.

Greetings:

I am also having a problem with Static Consists. there are ones in the original activity, wagons and engines that are displaying fine where intended. I have added additional static consists to an activity to boost the "siding population" and these consist do appear in TSRE5 when the route is opened up, but are NOT showing in the activity when it is run.

I am running the "SOMERSET & DORSET' British Rail route (for MSTS) in Open Rails. Screen shot is of a consist of 4 x LNER Ply Vans.

I have checked the file names, information and folder names and it is correct for each wagon.

Screen shots show cars in TSRE5 and from the engine of same siding when activity runs.

I have not the faintest idea why this is happening, so would really appreciate any help on what could be wrong, since the original consists from the activity are there. I did the same with placing a 3 car DMU train on a platform at Bath station (the start point of the activity) and the same thing happens, the consist is not there.

Have you checked the activity with Ged's msts_actman?

finally had some time today this evening to play around and download / run Ged's program.

It turned up 7 errors in rolling stock files I added, but NOT the one I used in this example which shows no errors............One of the other responders to another post says OR goes "beserk" with added consists if there is an error and does not display any of them.

Will have to dig out the file ACT_man reported and correct them to see for now.

News Update Derek:

I corrected the 7 file errors, re-located the new consists since the corrections somehow wiped out all the ones I added. So starting from the beginning placing them again, then ran part of the activity now gave me the result of seeing them in the activity.

Are you sure they were in the right place?
Are you using program files?

I put ActMan in a folder I use for all my "TS Utility programs" (Kosmos, Taga Tool, TSRE5, Archibald, etc) so it ran fine from there....I started over setting out the consists and things look fine now.

No wonder railroaders drink....................."I put the cars there.............now they can't find them"

Are you using program files for your main installation?

NO, NO,NO,NO...............I do NOT use the Microsoft folders for any of it....I have all the OR and Train Sim stuff on a separate terra-byte hard drive.

You didn't LISTEN.................I said I have all the support programs IN A FOLDER "TS Utility Programs"

The problem was that I didn't see.....the hearing is ok. :-)
