Yes, that is true:

"III Compatibility

The updated cab is currently (09.11.2021) fully functional with Revision 109.4 or later of OR NewYear MG. You can always download the latest ORTS NewYear MG version here: http://www.elvastower.com/forums/ind...or-newyear-mg/

The updated cab is partly functional with the Stable version 1.4 released on October 19th, 2021. This means that you can still use this cab with the Stable version 1.4 of the ORTS, but the Distance Counter and the Switchable screens won't work. You will also need to apply the small fix for the Dynamic Brakes indicator if you want it to show up on the screen correctly. Everything else will work fine."

I don't know how the Test versions of the Stable 1.4 version work, since I don't use them. Perhaps they offer the full functionality for the cab, but someone else is going to have to confirm that. I use just the ORTS NewYear MG version.

I believe those test versions on the 1.4 should provide full functionality as well, but I can't say for sure, as I only use OR New Year MG versions.
