Default Cant change car name in wagon file

I just got to sets from Toronto Mainlines and tried to change the names in the wagon files to make them easier to find when I am making consist but when I do and try to save it my computer tries to make me save it as a document.Just want to see if anyone has dealt with this and knows how to fix it.

Which Unicode editor are you trying to use to change the name?

I have always found Notepad to be less problematic.

Perhaps users that are smarter than I am would disagree.

Agree, Notepad, Notepad++ and ConText are preferable to wordpad.
