Ged, there is a plugin template included --- menu pulldown option "plugin" , also plugins are found at GitHub and a couple of other sources, settings/preferences can be used to chose colors for highlighting and associating files, also settings/style configurator to chose background colors and overall color theme. (that's where you'll find the "blackboard" theme )

I've been fiddling around with the plugin template trying to get something useful for ORTS parameters, similiar to what was made for MSTS for ConText, nothing too successful --- not my skill set.
    Cheers, Gerry

    Hi Ged,

Here's my file "language" definition for ORTS if you care to take a gander. Basically - all I need is a keyword list of all parameters used by ORTS and you can insert them fairly easily - - - the hard part is getting the comprehensive list out of ORTS. It greatly speeds up editing files when everything is highlighted appropriately. I use Notepad++ for all my coding needs - as they already have definitions for most popular programming languages.

That is for the shortcut, The actual executable is at %windir%\system32\notepad.exe, where "%windir%" is usually C:\windows

    Hi Scott,
    Thank you
It looks complicated, so I'll have to study it in depth!! Then again, I suppose if you don't understand the format, anything can look complicated!!

    Hi Ged,

Sorry - it's pretty easy - I should have explained - simply "import" the language (XML File) into Notepad++ via the Notepad++ interface - the Notepad++ interface is setup to edit this file in a very simple manner - under the "User Defined Language" - it has fields that are just input fields for keyword lists.

    Regards,
    Scott
