Default Mid East Coast v1 (UKTS)

MidEast Coast (MEC) is an upgrade to MidEast Plus (MEP). It is suitable for use in Open Rails only (not in MSTS).

The Route depicts the steam era around the 1950's with the intention to restore the Lost Lines of Lincolnshire. Many additional steam operating features have been added to the route.

No activities are included at present. These await the roll out of the stock. Initially a limited number of BR Standard Locomotives with Mk1 Coaches are available. Pre-set paths are provided for easy exploration of the route. Note: most of the original MEP paths will not work in MidEast Coast

Glad to hear MEP is being upgraded for OR. That is one of my favorite routes.

I had been running many of the MEP activities under OR (until I got diverted onto other things). Some of them have issues especially with AI that acts differently under OR than it did under MSTS. Also some of the rolling stock needed tweaking of the eng files.

It's a steam era upgrade of MEP, buddy. So there is a regression in the era depicted, from the 1970's/80's.

Back to the 1950's, with the necessary infrastructure.

MEC Version 1 is available on this site in the downloads area, and on UKTS. Remember its OpenRails and not MSTS.

Note most of the paths from MEP have been modified so they will not work in MEC. The stock which will be rolled out over the next few weeks will not work in MSTS. There should be no issues running it in OR straight out of the box.

    Hi

Just to clarify, this is a stand alone route, it is not to be loaded into the MEP route folder.

I hope I got that right.

    Cheers

Sounds good, though I'll probably wait for the activities and stock pack.
