Right now I'm too busy to attempt any projects but by this time next year I'll be settled down. My preference is to run activities and run consists I've created, More or less using the OR as a model railroad empire which I find more enjoying than watching a train run around a layout over and over.

I do a little bit of everything. I run trains in the simulator that I know I will never have the chance to run in reality, huge fan of BNSF and MRL, but my location results in not being able to witness them first hand, and not being able to be employed by them.

I also build routes, Maine, Vermont, and NY in particular.. I do repaints and attempt to build my own rolling stock and engines. I also attempt to create activities for others to enjoy. Last one I did, was the loaded potash fertilizer train for the Mullan Pass route.

I mainly like to run high priority intermodal consists and encounter other trains along the way. I only recently discovered OpenRails' Dispatch Screen. I am still testing how flexible this makes my game.

I just derailed on a curve with a double stack. Something new.

The derail notification is the result of the new derailment code, please see the two threads below for more detailed information:

I read someone else derailed a Z-Train on Mullan Pass in OR. BNSF is having a bad week! Thanks for the information.

I've been building a fictional railroad spanning across the country, with the largest current focus in my home state of California. Personally, I mostly run a train or two, and take lots of photos to create a story that I find interesting. Oftentimes, I find that the work I do is challenging.
