    Default Track Spacing

I'm experimenting with new track-pieces, those types where the rail is especially elevated on ballast and with some ballast shape added (too much? We'll see), and at the very least, sleepers in 3d, but I tried to go off some tech documents (for here in Australia) but doesn't look ok for a mainline track? Any suggestions on sleeper size and spacing? This is a 3m track section pictured.

Sleeper/tie spacing on the Union Pacific is 19.5 inches for wood ties and 24" for concrete, with an average width of 9 inches per tie. That leaves a gap of either 10.5 or 15 inches.

I know that's for the US, but I'd imagine spacing to be proportionately similar.
