Unable to run any map on Open Rails

Hi there I recently found about Open Rails and I can't seem to get it to work, unfortunately. I've attached the error and the log file as it may be necessary to troubleshoot the problem. As closing remarks I'd like to note that I have a strong build (i7 6700, 16 GB of RAM and GTX 1070). Thanks in advance.

The following line says it all :

Error: Orts.Parsers.Msts.STFException: Missing RouteID in D:\Train Simulator\ROUTES\JAPAN1\japan1.trk:line 47

By the time the parser has got to the end of the file (line 47), it hasn't read the RouteID!

This should be on line 4 : RouteID ( JAPAN1 )

As to why it's missing from a default route, only you can answer

Hi there, thanks for the response. Am I supposed to download or edit something? I can't really figure this out as I've made a fresh installation. This error happens in all maps.

I have opened the trk file with notepad++ to check for inconsistency you have mentioned, but here's the weird thing. Line 4 has the Route ID. For some reason Open Rails can't parse it. I didn't even place the Open Rails folder under some directory with special characters but still the problem persists. I really would appreciate some help to solve this issue. Cheers.

If that's really what line 4 has, then that's the problem - it should be RouteID. Don't forget that computers are very pedantic and it should be EXACTLY as I posted!!

I was going to suggest that the .trk file may not be in Unicode format, but Open Rails DOES accept the file if it's in ANSI (ie .txt) format.

Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by this!

Final thought (for now!) - maybe the line above 'RouteID' [Tr_RouteFile ( ] is missing?

If the above don't help, attaching your .trk file to a post, as a .zip file, might be useful in solving the problem.

Hi, I meant the file looks fine. Also since my native language isn't English, I meant that the installation folder haven't had any special characters. I'm attaching a sample of my trk file. Thanks in advance.

The log file and the track file are not from the same route.
