switch derailments

Had this happen 3 times yesterday with 455 and once today. Turned it off for now. Find it's happening more since the update.

Has anyone else been experienceing this. I did post it as a bug but I'm curious if it was just a certain car or something.

Were they AI trains or player trains? If player trains you need to learn how to handle the equipment better. If AI then we will check it out.

Player train. 455 was a heavier train but well below 10MPH for manual switches (I believe that is the limit). Well above 1.2 HPT. It's been a while now but I belive they were straight switches. It occured at speed with out a sudden throttle change. Not sure how handling has anything to do with it.

As mentioned these trains are way too heavy because the AI system fully loads every car instead of having more reasonable weights per car. When you operate the industries that 455 supplies your looking at a train about 10K (the limit for sidings).

Perhaps I'm running heavier or longer trains than what was tested with?

I'm more than happy to use a prototypical features. Perhaps something like "better handling" without what causes these if it is human error should be described so those that may be doing something wrong learn how to do it right

Definitely sounds like a bug. Haven’t been on R8 much since the last update but so long as you are not exceeding the speed limit or anything silly, trains should not be randomly derailing across points that are locked (manually or electrically) for the correct direction of travel.
