trying to install
tsre5_v7.012.exe

I get
the application was unable to start correctly
click ok to close

you need internet connectivity for first use.

do you have OpenAL32.dll for your win32 or win 64 operating system in the same folder as the tsre executables? (not that we would know, from your scant details)

I believe you can download the appdata directly from the site if your sim computer is offline, as mine is. At least, you could a few months ago when I last upgraded. I don't recall the exact process, but I think there's a folder called appdata at the site where you download TSRE
