Well, she was open-mouthed when I just walked over to the kitchenette sink, turned on the tap and ran warm water all over the keyboard, making sure to get it down into all the gaps.

I took it outside, swung it around a few times to get the droplets off and then plugged it into a testing PC we had in the front office.
It worked perfectly and she looked as if she'd just seen magic performed!

What she didn't realise - and what I didn't explain - was that it was a membrane keyboard and essentially unaffected by a shower of water.
You are truely the real messiah, oh great one.

Wow! I didn't know that either. If I ever have something like that happen{almost happened 2 days ago as I was creating an Activity outside and somebody decided to pour water out the window!}then I will know all hope might not be lost. Thank You! Brian

    No worries, Brian.

Just make sure that it is a membrane/soft key keyboard - and they all seem to be these days - and swing it around hard to fling the droplets of water out and then pat down with a paper towel. You can even go one step further and dry it off totally with a hair-dryer.

If you (or anyone) has an old IBM type of "clicky" 'board (Model 'M', from memory), you can try this method but as the keys aren't sealed then you may have keystroke glitches even after drying the board.

But you are the messiah, only the true messiah denies his divinity.
