Did you post on the CB forum, Charles always picks up anything
    missed by Joe.

My wish is that they make CB available for a cost and Joe continues
    mods required for Open Rails.

CB Is potentially the best support program.

    Cheers

    Hi,

I also hope Joe is okay, just post your issue on the CB forum, not a PM.

Then I am sure Charles will respond.

    Cheers

Daniel, I have posted this both here and on the ConBuilder forum: I am no longer a member of the ConBuilder Team. Have not been for over 4 years. I cannot help anyone with Serial Numbers or license files. I do not have access to the database of names, email addresses and serial numbers of ConBuilder purchasers.

Joe Smith was on the ConBuilder Forum an hour ago today, so maybe he responded to lumberman's pm.

    Hi Charles,

I assumed you were still an active member, you always respond to my CB posts,
    both here and on CB.

Either way, please don't go away, we (I) need you.

    Best regards

    Daniel

At its peak, Conbuilder had as it's greatest asset the ability to examine and diagnose all that rolling stock. But as Open Rails introduced new file structures and got by with needing fewer MSTS-era requirements, the lack of programming upkeep punched holes in that singular advantage. Programs written to confine strictly to MSTS rules are out of place now. Lots of false flags get thrown, showing errors for no SD files (not needed in OR), exceeding the 30 character name (OR has no limit), 150 car consist limit not compatible with 200 car trains in the PSR era, being unable to parse include files, an unawareness of additional OR-specific consist parameters one can add to a .CON file, etc. All of this is causing tremendous bleed-out from it's most stellar feature set, and the needed bandages are not available. There definitely are some conbuilder features that I wish TSRE had, but that's not happening anytime fast, either.

If Conbuilder could add all those features mentioned by geepster ( may not be possible given its age ) it would again be a relevant and useful tool.

    Hi

Conbuilder and RouteRiter are still my most used MSTS/OR programs,
with Ged's programs, and with some little a knowledge of which errors
    mattered.

I suggested to the Conbuilder crew that they have a volunteer donation to
update CB ink but it did not happen..

BTW the latest CB does support up to 250 consists.

I donated to Mikes page on occasions but the link is not there any more.

I have tried TSR but cannot get it to work, obviously that is my problem
and that is the way it is, I have not that problem with CB or RR

    Cheers

CB's lone programmer isn't likely to jump back onto the bandwagon. Wishing for a comeback will likely take someone to assume the role of programmer if the source code can be had. Best learn TSRE's consist builder. My opinion.
