Thanks for the encouragement guys, Ive dabbled with route mods for a while but since I started doing the rolling stock repaints and learning more about photoshop and texture manipulation, applied to route mods things have definitely improved visually. Obviously, all of the all of the avilable content and knowledge from the community and the great route mods from others to serve as inspiration make it possible. At some point when my skills are up to par id like to do an actual route from scratch.

Making a route from scratch is much simpler these days with TSRE. I've been whipping up a few routes for my own enjoyment, as I am using scenery items from a couple of Trainsimulations routes, but once you get the concept, it's a breeze. Will it look as fantastic as what you've been producing with your mods, probably not ever, but I'm still having fun with it, and still learning many techniques along the way for sure.

Thanks Shawn, it sure is easier with TSRE I feel like i have a good handle on doing scenery mods but still have much to learn when it comes to working with track, signals, terrain adjustment etc.

So let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet, to see the king of the potato people... and plead with him for your freedom, and you're telling me you're completely sane?
