    Hi Folks,

As one of the guys who periodically brings up a "TS Sandpatch 2.0" over the years - perhaps a new member to the team would be beneficial for all? Last I heard - the DEM and Track were down from Cumberland all the way to Connellsville using ScaleRail - a little chat between Jason, Chris, and Andrew might prove worthwhile?

Just my two cents - please take it for what it's worth.

    Regards,
    Scott

That Sandpatch looks amazing! Great work Andrew on your Blue Lick Branch route as well! If anyone is willing to help Josh and I out with scenery on our route it would be greatly appreciated! We are the 2 nut cases who are doing the Midwest Mega Route between the Twin Cities and Chicago and we could sure use some help in the scenery aspect of the route! Thanks again for the kind comments! Its been years in the making but we are starting to make headway on portions of the route!

Any conversation would have to include Sean too
    - Chris N.
So let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet, to see the king of the potato people... and plead with him for your freedom, and you're telling me you're completely sane?

Thanks for the kind words guys, I’m glad everyone enjoys the scenery upgrade as much as I do.
Sandpatch has always been my favorite route. I’ve spent a lot of time over the years railfanning that area as it’s relatively close by and was always quite interesting and know it well. Like Scott and others, I have a great interest in the upcoming TS version and what it will encompass. My upgrades for me personally serve as a stand in until the new version comes to fruition. In regards to Scott’s suggestion, if there is some way to assist on the creation of the new route I’m certainly willing to be involved and open to conversation if that is of interest to Chris and the TS team. In the meantime I’ll just keep plugging away at what I have going on.

Fun fact: During a visit in 1997, the operator at SA tower let me pull the levers and and line up the signals for an approaching westbound, was an awsome experience for a 10 yr old!

A rebuilt Rockwood Jct. and MOW area...excuse the dynamic track.

I've probably missed something along the way, but I haven't seen a Terex loader like that one in the sim before. A friend of mine who ran an excavating company had an all Detroit Diesel fleet of earthmoving equipment and trucks, including a couple of Terex loaders like that one. I loved hearing those "screamin' Jimmy" 2-cycle Detroit Diesels--at a distance or wearing earplugs, of course.

That loader is a Caterpillar type model from Bruce Giroux c.2002 (available in the library here) that I heavily re-textured. I've always been a fan of anything GM/Detroit Diesel (EMD's smaller cousin) related and thought it would be appropriate for this time period.
