Here at home, in the railroad mayhem capital of the world.
Thanks, guys...I have no clue about modeling so everything new here is either from Mullan/Ruel or the file library. I've been modifying a lot of the individual textures so they are all more similar to each other. I think it has made a real difference in blending all the objects in the scene together to look more natural.

Looks good Shawn, I see your using the forest regions. Thats something I've been meaning to play around with more, texture and shape modification wise. It sure makes popualting a route with vegetation a breeze.
I plucked the forest file from both the CN Ruel Sub and the MRL Mullan Pass, both have basic tree textures that can be spotted in Northern Maine, and so far the Northern Ontario Tree clump for the forest region has been working like a champ to fill in, and then I just add some native Pine and Spruce along with it to give it that deep Maine forests look.
The dry grass forest file works great too for the swampy sections along the line. Throw down a small stream with a couple of deer and moose, and you'll be right at home in Adams, ME.
It does make laying out forests a breeze for sure though. Especially for a line like this, that is mostly trees to begin with and very small towns.

Andrew, can you shoot me a PM?

So let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet, to see the king of the potato people... and plead with him for your freedom, and you're telling me you're completely sane?
Andrew, if you could also please delete some messages to free up space in your PM inbox![]()

Shawn, right the Ontario forest tex are perfect for your area, and its worked well my sandpatch as well though theres probaly too many evergreen trees to be totally accurate.
Also PM sent Chris, and Sean my inbox should have room now.
I don't know a whole heck of a lot about trees to be fair, but from both those routes, majority of them fit right at home for this region I am tinkering on. I got to stick in some large white pines as well, as there are a lot of those towering over most of the other trees. From what I can tell and see, "Paper Birch", Oak, Maple, Spruce and Pines are the normal up this way.
