I always thought the coolest thing would be to ride in a dome at night watching the signals change and the mars light dancing ahead. The 1974 WB Amtrak North Coast Hiawatha recreates that as it climbs the east side of Evaro Hill in Montana

Spoony1999 cool screens. In 1968 I rode the Hiawatha with a friend of mine and we had a full length dome all to ourselves. That was the most amazing train ride watching as we knocked down signals at trackspeed!

Riding the Southwest Limited to California (From Chicago Union Station) - same cool experience. Pretty much had the whole dome to myself, and after we picked up extra power in Kansas City, Mo., I spent the later part of the night watching 4 SDP40F's corkscrewing up the east side of the mountains. Damn cool!

THIS is areas where Open Rails's CurveForce for flanges come in Handy I've found out! While some may still put in The "Barriers" to get more, I've noticed with CurveForce, It gets The flanges to react a bit more,"Naturally" & often without needing as much constant flangesqueal streams( I still have a few for a good mixture ).
