Wink Return of the Mullan Pass Timetable

    Hello,

Sorry for the complete radio silence. Life has gotten busy, as it tends to do. I've been enjoying the post-graduation life and getting into the workforce.

I've recently been cleaning out my closet of old projects and found what is (pretty much) the final version my Mullan Pass timetable. I decided might as well give it a once-over before finally untangling the mess in the file library here. The old versions and updates of the timetable have been removed, and I'll be uploading what is pretty much the finished version. I was very unsatisfied with how confusing the installation process was, with how many seperate downloads there were in the library, and thought it was unfair to leave it up without doing anything about it, as well as not fixing some of the bugs that have been fixed from the last release.

The one major notable change is that I've made the install much cleaner now by using a simple Clickteam installer. Now it's just a few clicks to get installed, and if you wish to remove it, it's as easy as running the uninstaller instead of hunting down and deleting individual files. Outside of that, it's just small tweaks and changes to make the timetable run smoother.

I'm hoping to get it out on the library in the next week or so, there are still a few things I'd like to check before I give it the all-clear.

Just downloaded and ran the new upload. Thank you!

However, I'm getting CTDs due to AI trains breaking couplers "...due to excessive static coupler force", per the log file. "Unscheduled" breaks in consists not explicitly called for in the timetable, either for player or AI trains, will always crash OR when running in timetable mode.

Running the third-latest testing mode, T1.4-702-g3023eb3df, as I haven't downloaded the most recent two versions.

Again, thanks for the work and upload, but not to spoil things I wanted to point this out.

You could probably dig into the physics to stop the coupler breaks...an easier way would be to uncheck the "Break Couplers" box on the options/simulation tab. At least then the timetable would run.

Many thanks for the latest timetable upload. Just tried the daytime activity which I had a most enjoyable time running. Her's a brief rundown of what I experienced: At 07.55 just before mp62 I got a red where the single track becomes double. The switches were in my favour and there was no AI in the area so after a while I switched from auto signal to manual and then back again. This changed the signal to green and I continued. At mp31 AI train 8 was waiting for me. Then at 08.50 at mp29 I encountered AI train 5. At 9.19 at mp22 I met AI trains 19, 9 and 3 with waits of around 10-30 mins between trains. The remaining AI trains 14, 2 and 11 I didn't see although they appeared in my Alt+F9 train list. I hope this helps others. The well -filled yards looked great although my FPS suffered lol. The entire run took a little under 5 hours. The attached log showed some static consists having insufficient room. Again, many thanks. Off to try the night run now.

Has anyone else run these 2 timetable acts? On the day run I only actually catch sight of 5 of the 8 AI trains that are shown on the Alt+F9 train list and on the night run I only see 2 of the 7 AI trains. I'm running the timetable "straight out of the box" without any changes.

The trains will need the $next command if they are supposed at the end of the day after midnight. Other wise the will run at the beginning of the timetable.

    Eric
