    Default Hope Valley (trans-Pennines)

Does anyone know if this "route" is represented in either OR or Train Simulator (the DTG version)?

    Thanks, Mike.
It appears to be well crafted; I also found a lengthy video on YT.

The reason I enquired is that I have just finished watching (over several nights) a video by Don Coffey of a 4-hour freight run down from Tunstead to Bedford, via Corby.
Coffey has some excellent UK videos and this is one of them.
I'm not concerned about "modern rubbish" as it means nothing to me. I'm interested in how well it depicts the line through Hope Valley.

I have watched all of Don Coffey's cabrides, excellent stuff.

You are just not concerned, full stop buddy

Not my area of knowledge. But in MSTS\OR there is a steam\diesel era route. The Midland Mainline, covers the whole route London St Pancras - Sheffield. I would have thought The Hope Valley may be included in that route.

Worth a shot, it is freeware and very well done.

I just meant that because I know stuff-all about UK railways and the eras in which types of 'stock were operating it could all be "modern rubbish" to me!

Mike, would you happen to know the exact name of that route file, please?
Using the (limited) search engine here came up with a total zero for anything in the UK.

G'day Mike, The Midland Mainline is payware I have it including the farringdon extension, it could be available now as freeware but I doubt it.

Midland Main Line is from Just Trains, Bruce. There have been several extensions of the base line Sheffield to Derby, going in all directions, the Hope Valley Line is considered quite authentic for modern day, but, you do need to have purchased the Sheffield - Derby Payware route beforehand, so, it could be a little expensive overall, especially, if you want to add on all the other extended lines that have been completed and available, nearly £100s worth at the moment if you obtain them all.

Just to clarify please, if I may. In your original post you asked about the trans-pennine route. Were you referring to the Huddersfield to Manchester via Leeds route that features in TSW? There is a freeware offering for TSC/TS2022, created by a chap called Pennine Pacer, that features trams as well as trains available from Manchester Victoria to Huddersfield (but, it doesn't go to Leeds yet) it's in the UKTS library, you need to have both v1 and v2 downloaded - https://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-s...r=PenninePacer
Of course, you do need a couple of DLC routes off Steam to get this freebie route to work properly, it depends if you have everything.

    Cheerz. Steve.

    Thanks for that, Steve.
Yep...I checked out their site and it appears that the Hope Valley is going to be released separately, not requiring the Midland line to be installed.

I probably mixed up terminology, Steve.
It's the Hope Valley that I am interested in and I think the "trans-Pennine" reference came in because that was mentioned in Coffey's video.
