Thanks, Randy. That was the obvious answer to me, too, when I first noticed the error some time ago. But Type (Diesel) is correct in the eng files of the offending locos, as are other components of the eng file that point to diesel (such as fuel, RPMs, etc).

    Re: In Randy's example . . .
In the Type line is a space needed before and after the Diesel in parenthesis?

No parenthesis in any of mine.
    Spaces yes.

    Type ( Engine )

    Type ( Diesel )

    Yup. My files show

    Type ( Engine )

near the beginning of the eng file and

    Type ( Diesel )

near the middle of the eng file, after the light and exhaust definition sections.

I also have 3 or 4 that show up in TSRE according to the Wagon( xxxx ) line in the eng file rather than the Name ( xxxx ) line. They're all payware models, by reputable vendors. Other models by the same vendors, even in the same package, don't have the issue. I've given up trying to figure it out. I'm just offering my experience as an example to match the OP's.

It may be a format problem. There may be something on the same line as "Type ( Diesel )" the should be moved to the following line.

As I said, these are payware. So I'm not posting any files here.

OK, but an engine file doesn't contain anything different then a free engine file.

I've made some modifications to these files...if you are missing a description section ( or quotes ) that could give you problems. Wagon section Type should be Engine ---and--- Engine section Type should be Diesel.

IF you would post a complete file people would be able to help you troubleshoot your problem.
