I did try messaging you but think you were out of range. I found the AI signallers were checking me down at the Home Signal at each block post, combined with the loco running poorly, was making me late.

Hopefully keep the pressure on regarding the save game and single player.

I probably won't be playing it much. So you need 6 hours of dispatching experience to get into the new big chair. Some people have obviously already grinded for this because if you look at the servers now almost every one has at least 1 dispatcher in it even with no players. They need more of the complex dispatching brought in for players. Not to mention private servers or single player worlds. Apparently AI is coming to single player with saves which tells me this might be possible, we will see.

I'm busy with my own stuff right now to worry about it.

    Thanks

It looks like despite the earlier statements on Steam etc., they are backpedalling on the Save Game...

From the official forum this morning:

"Improvements to single player scenarios are planned. Unfortunately I cannot give any promises about adding savegames - could adding more variants split into shorter legs be sufficient solution for you?

As for scenario editor, this is all planned but likely after Early Access phase."

Well I guess it is what it is, played over 2 hours now so can only wait and see what happens.

Don't blame you Mike, just wish I hadn't rushed back in to purchase it again. More and more seems like a game barely out of Alpha, doesn't IMHO even warrant an early access label.

Also appears to be increasing outbreaks of fanboyism and rose tinted views on the official forum...

Completely agree with you Vern, bad move rushing in and even worse for you.

As you did escape the mediocrity, the first time around.

Lesson learned and good job it didn't cost loads of money.

Yes buddy i noticed that earlier. No idea why people feel the urge to protect the developers at all costs.

Must be a modern thing Vern, beyond my comprehension.

Well someone here asked about a roadmap and there is one right on the Steam page. No where did it ever say anything about a save function. Now I have noticed more people like you guys don't like the current single player. Personally I would love to see what I've already mentioned. But you bought in on hope, and people are supposed to feel bad for you?

Hey I was on the fence and to be honest I will not use it that much. I'm pretty sure more desks will become available and things to enhance the MP side (which is what they are really targeting).

I was accused of being a fanboy for Run8 and I haven't used it in months now, despite the program doing exactly what it said it would do. If we want to go there lets go further "new regions" (plural) was announced immediately when V3 hit. I bought it anyways because I was still trying things and the AI dispatcher sold me. We have had 1 new region and no official position about anything new.

But lets waste our time and bitch and moan about everything right? Granted I've been guilty of doing that exact same thing. Well now I'm doing something about it on my own schedule with my own teammate. We haven't promised or announced anything but I do talk about it because that is my focus.

Right now there are few if any train sims that are important to me. When Run8 delivers great, until then I got my money's worth. SimRail we will see but again weeks of free play I got my money's worth. Anything DTG to me is utter grabage. Trainz I also got my moeny's worth for 15 dollars and almost buit a route but stopped because I wasn't happy with it.

Words mean absolutely NOTHING. What counts is does the current sim have what I want. If you are buying in on hope, I'm afraid that is a risk you've taken. Don't blame the people who are happy with what they have or content on paying for what they already got. You guys call it defending developers, I call it reality. They paid for what they got not what they're going to get. It was a hard lesson that I had to learn myself. Complaining about it is an utter waste of time.

    Thanks

A save game shouldn't even have had to be on the roadmap, it should have been part and parcel of the specification from Day 1.

Now I guess even I am in your ignore list. I think it's incredible whining by several people here.
Earlier and all the time, there are complaints about dovetail and TSW and now it is Simrail time.
Talking about refund all the time.
Develop your own train simulator then then it will be so incredibly good. it has Saves and run8 parts .....

Run8 is the only simulator that isn't complained about that much. But then run it all the time and try nothing else.
For my own part, I have all the simulators and think they all have their advantage. but I drive at least hours in run8
I get so bored. Graphics msts 2002. TSW have wonderful graphics but has its problems.

30 euro is for me 3 lunches. Not much money. You get 500 kilometers railway you get 5 trains. You get Multiplayer.
You dont get Saves but within a year I am sure it does. it is constantly evolving and for the better all the time
For me is Simrail is Run8+TSW. More Hard core train simulator with relative good graphics. + later editors

Hard to say now but this could be the best train simulator in a few years.
I have have driven real trains and this is the best feeling I've felt on any simulator in train feeling.
