    ORTS has some nice features that appear when you left click on a unit in the F9 window. I simply click "Toggle Power, Toggle MU Connection, Toggle Battery Switch" This will give the feel and appearance of them being dead in tow on the trip. The only thing ORTS doesn't seem to do correctly at the moment, is actually kill the lights and sounds on those units, as the ground lights were still on and the sounds still produce the "idle" sound versus completely shut off.

    Not sure what I did to lose the switch targets. They show up in TSRE just fine..

    But, a packed yard, is always a good sign.
