I flagged all my old content for deletion. Seriously outdated and I hate the way they look now compared to modern standards.

I just went through and flagged a bunch of mostly older stuff that can go. For the most part, it's stuff that's been superseded by newer (and better quality) versions, but some of it is just junk from my early days when I didn't know what I was doing. There are also a couple of things that are going to be superseded in the near future, but haven't yet been

What was deleted? Some items have been moved to a new sections prior to being deleted, so that you can get one last chance at them...

Right now, that's almost 700 files and around 17.91Gb of disk space recovered.

I haven't seen the new sections of Removal Candidates.
Perhaps the diesel locomotives that I supposed was delected, maybe this files were just transferred to the new sections.
Anyway, thank you for your attention and reply.
    Best regards.

Older routes that were replaced by newer one are yes, sort of fantasy but from a historic standpoint I am glad to see them. For example in my Milwaukee Road Coast division I included the switchback route of the NP over Stampede Pass and the original Milwaukee Road route over Snoqualmie Pass. The NP route is real fantasy as it only lasted less than a year. The Milwaukee route only lasted 10 years or so but I included both to show history. When I release a future CNO&TP 2nd district route it will have lines that were removed in 1962/63 and which eliminated many tunnels, but again, history. I have the track in place for Stevens Pass including the 2 GN routes prior to the present one, again history. Sadly this does look like the beginning of the end for TrainSim though. I've no idea how old Nels is, I'm 84, and none of us is here forever. As a member of the Friends of the C&TS, I sadly see a lot of history die with each member that passes. Each is revered for what he did, maybe cussed some, but all are sorely missed.

I honestly don't know how old Nels is exactly, but he's >70. Not quite up there with you, Jerry, but it's probably safe to say he'd rather not be running a website 7 days a week.

I don't believe this is the beginning of the end, as there are five people other than Nels who work behind the scenes to keep things moving forward. We're in this for the long haul, and the planning for the new server (which is already up and running) included plenty of storage to keep things exactly as they are today, including all the stuff that's been identified, plus some growth.

I just tagged some of my uploads for removal. I did some SD70ACe reskins ages ago that, looking back upon them, I'm not particular proud of them, and if they were to just suddenly disappear from the site, I doubt anybody (including myself) is going to miss them.

But I want some of my other stuff like the Amtrak "rustbucket" pack and the GTW Passenger GP9 pack to stay up as long as they can.

    Hi Eric,

I've been informed that "tracks1.zip", which is a nessecary dependency for some routes, such as DIY_Rb, is going to be removed. Please don't remove it, as that would break that, along with some other routes that use it.
