NS Activated SD70M-2s

Might wanna re-Dl The EMD SD70M-2s of NS if no one runs them anymore. NS is reactivated The Remaining Models & will be put back into Service. Some have sent to IN for a DC to AC Pilot Test Bed Program. If it goes well, NS may have others done the same way.

SD70M's to SD70ACC's.

These will be the remaining SD70M-2's that NS actually held onto rather than sell off, that will become AC traction instead of the terrible DC traction M-2 units.
Wish the ex NS units the road I work for, had them converted to AC traction...

Just to split hairs a bit, the ACC program was built from original NS standard cab SD70's ( I"m not sure if any ex-Cons were done )
NS had big rebuilding plans including more SD70's, the SD80MACs, Dash 9's, and the SD70M-2's before they steered in a completely different direction operations and motive power wise...

Yes, but if you read in the Comments on the NSDash9 Page,..NS Told EMD They want to try & get them AC Power. 6 are sent to Munice,IN for The Pilot Program as a Test Bed. If all goes well, more might be on the way.

I've written a reply to Pete, but I've gone by what I saw in The Comments on NSDash9. I know It's an Up To Date & Gets The Facts from True Sources.

Yes Mike, I see them often, but NSDash9 on Comments states Some were sent up to IN by NS Request for a Test Program for an AC Conversation. 6 have been sent there, & if it proves well, more's on way.
