That's great and all, but care to explain how you guys installed it and got it working properly?

I've just been running it in the directory it's run in on my last couple PC's... no installer needed.

You know you have to have Java installed?

    Yep, have it installed.
Route riter would simply not work properly or would freeze up on me.
Would be nice to have when I have numerous shape files to uncompress or recompress, weed out files I don't need, etc.
    Oh well...

Install Java. The one recommended for your computer. Default install.
Install RouteRiter, by right clicking and running as admin. Put it somewhere outside the windows protected folder system.
In the RouteRiter folder create the two folders TempFiles and TempFiles2.
    rr1.jpg
In your Java Install create the folder classes.
    rr2.jpg
Copy the contents of the TSUtil folder in RouteRiter and put them in the classes folder you just created.

    Works for me.

    Randy

Edit: On occasion a Java update will wipe the classes folder requiring you to recreate it. Happened to me a couple weeks ago.
This is for v. 7.6.0.26, Mike Simpsons last version.

Thank you so much Randy! I will give that a try, I think the only thing I goofed was the tempfiles and tempfiles2 folder. Could explain why it was acting up! I'll let you know what comes of this!

Edit: Looks like I still get the same error message as before

    "Run-time error '380'
    Invalid property value"

    Hi

I'm not sure if this will help you but I have W10 64 and I found it necessary to install both 64 and 32 bit Java
with the classes folder in both installs.

Not sure why but it works.

    Cheers

    Yes, Java is persnickety.

By the way, to the original poster, Shortliner, has any of this helped with your greyed out tracks error?
