Thanks for the clarification, Eric. I had not realized those routes had standalone installers as well as multiple zip files to download separately as needed for older internet options of the early 2000's.

Is the NECV4 being dropped?
Thanks.
I'd rather have people ask the questions now than be upset later...
FWIW, I now have a full backup of the file library that's not on the TS server. It will be going to cloud cold storage for safer keeping.
NEC 4 is a smaller download, loads faster and has less demand on less robust systems. I for one could care less about anything east of harrisburg. NEC 4 would be perfect if it could be extedted to NYC or Boston, even through in Harrisburg. While the eastern division is a terrific route having smaller portions only makes far more sense to me.
I can understand removing duplicates and out of date files. And I fully agree with dumping the Indian content. But I don't get removing historic artifacts like the NEC 4?
Speaking of big routes, the UP Cima is one I want to try out. But even in split form I don't have any luck downloading it on my ISP provider. It's just too much route.
I'm going to be downloading like a crazy person trying to back up anything I might forsee wanting to play with in the future. Might have to get a membership to make the bigger downloads.

If the NEC standalone is that important I'll retain it. As you said, it's not huge compared to others.
There are two versions of my Hook & Eye route but they are not the same. The older version is fully MSTS and
ORTS compatible while the later version has more detail and uses some special track items that may not be
fully MSTS compatible. Be sure the keep the last version of Don Karch's Colorado Mega route which I completed
in I believe 2019 after Don passed away. It includes earlier versions which can be dropped. I was told by another
user that my Blue Ridge route was to be dropped. Please keep the Blue Ridge and Kingsport routes of CSX. I do
plan to release updated versions and when I do I will send a message to the site manager that THEN those older
routes can be dropped although activities created for them may or may not work on a new version. Having been
manager of CADD systems in the CSX Engineering department I know that storage space is precious - especially
in the 1990s when 500MBT discs were consider HUGE, so I always have asked to delete earlier versions when I
uploaded a route if that was possible.

I did a search for most of my contributed routes and found several marked for removal.
Rocky Mountain Div. East (Milwaukee Road) it appears that all versions & updates are to be cut, Please keep these.
Idaho Division or "GAP". Please do not remove.
Kingsport Sub. (CSX) Please do not remove.
Blue Ridge Sub. (CSX) Please do not remove.
The two CSX subdivisions are in the mix for being redone completely but hey guys, I am 84 so somebody else
might have that desire.
Where several versions of a route exist, be sure to retain the latest version.

I second keeping all of the Milwaukee Road routes.
