Yes, most certainly......and other ore such as tin. It's Australia's oldest mining town.
BHP (Broken Hill Proprietary Limited) - a huge corporation now known as BHP-Billiton - takes its name from the city.
There's even a Silver City Highway and there used to be the Silver City Express train.
It's miles from nowhere.....the original "beyond the black stump" town!

Good info thank you Bruce Makes sense that BHP would call their airline Silver City Airways.

With that sort of connection in Australia.

Tut tut, miles from anywhere. Miles from nowhere means it must be near somewhere.

    Another Aussie-ism, Mike.
Means the same as "beyond the black stump", "back of beyond", "out to buggery", etcetera.
Did you click on the link? You'll see that it's all of those sayings!

Back in the 1970s a young probationary cop I knew (from the small country town I lived in) was finishing his training in Sydney and was asked where he would like to be stationed for his initial posting.
He said something to the effect of "over the hill".....a country-ism meaning to the country, not the city.
He was really pissed when he was sent to Broken Hill!!

Installed and into the first mission in the Campaign (solo player....no multiplayer for me).
Having played SE4 you'll be at home with the controls - they are the same.

Initial impression is that it's a "prettier" SE4; graphics enhanced, obviously.

    Worth the AU$35?
Time will tell but right now I'm treating it as a continuation of SE4 but with my GPU and case fans working twice as hard!!

    UPDATE
Yeah....as a single-player doing the Campaign just consider it as a tarted-up SE4, set in France instead of Italy.
For multi-players it may have some additional attraction (such as the "Axis" feature) but for we soloists it is really same-same but prettier.

Hiya Bruce, pretty good purchase for you then. I had to pass at the moment, i want the deluxe version. Which is only 40% discount, so with other commitments i had to grit my teeth and say, not at the moment

There is quite a bit of DLC as well, so that could be expensive in the long run.

    Enjoy buddy.
