    I agree.
This, and not the cost, is the prime reason I cannot be bothered to replace all the generic "R8" placeholders with proper items.
It's just a bloody tedious process buying and installing R8 stuff.

Am i right in saying if i install v3 DLC, i do not have to run the Run8 v3 exe to update it ?

    Just purchased mixedfreight_03, after realising i only owned 01 & 02.

That's correct, however I think that generally speaking you should install the last update after installing any content.

    So in your case:

    Run8v3 (already installed)
    Mixed freight 3
    Run8 Update 6

Would like to see more train crew functionality in multiplayer. In last evenings session it was noted (with crew interaction stuff all 'on') the conductor was unable to activate the unload function on each coal car as it arrived over the coal dump at Trona. The engineer could vacate the cab and activate the unload function. To test it, the players swapped places and the inability of the conductor to activate the unloader was still a thing. Just a suggestion as an added option.

Speaking of coal Leaf you remind me of something else I'd like to see (perhaps this is more of an update). That is the minimum industry time being reduced or to allow an option where an industry zone triggers an unload or load sequence right away. This will help for coal mines, drop off, rock, etc. so that you can have a prototypically moving train that loads or unloads on the fly for certain car types. It would also avoid the need to manually change them over like you guys were doing on RTS Saturday.

    Thanks

That’s one of the features I like in TSW on Clinchfield and Tees Valley (there may be others) the fact you can run the train dead slow through the loaders and actually watch the cars/wagons fill interactively. Even Trainz features animated industries so kind of surprised Run 8 embraced this yet.

The whole graphics really needs a makeover. Yes I know and respect the argument about it being an operational sim, but it helps if it's nice to plook at. I just can't bring myself to run over the Roseville route as those mountain textures... well they ain't, just green hills not even much difference in shade from lower levels. Not expecting TSW or Snowrunner level of detail or colouring, but something along the lines of ETS2 and ATS which we know and love surely shouldn't be too hard to achieve?
