Thread: Several locos missing in Indian Railways South Western Railway V2 Route.

Question Several locos missing in Indian Railways South Western Railway V2 Route.

I recently watched a tutorial on installing IR SWR V2 Route on OpenRails, following the video after placing the files and folders including setting up Newroads and XTracks, the electric locos don't seem to appear which disabled half of the activities which use those locos.

Also many of the AI locos are missing carriages, when I asked the video creator on Instagram he replied, "And locos missing u need to solve it by consist editor",
"Why that's happens because everyone uses diff loco for diff acts"

And I have no idea what to make of it. So any help would be big time appreciated.

    Welcome to the forums.

Consists are defined separately from activities, which makes it very easy to fix what is missing by replacing them with a mix of locomotives and coaches you already have installed.

Depending on your level of expertise, you can edit these using a notepad editor, or download a utility to do it through a GUI. Personally, I prefer to use notepad but there are some great Utilities in the file library for consist management as well as activity management.

TSRE5 fixed it like a charm. The locos defined in the consists are not correctly named.

Great to know. You might want to consider re-uploading the activity with the corrected names.

There always seems to be some sort of issue with the stuff from India...... In this case not too bad since TRES5 fixed it. Still seems a on going problem with the Indian stuff and perhaps fixable if you know how to work with the files or TRES5 or RR can solve the problem.

Go read the forums from 15-20 years ago, and there were heaps of problems with the American and Canadian stuff, too.

We have hundreds of active members who don't wade into the forums, and I really wish we had a way to get them more engaged in the conversations vs. criticizing the content. I thought we got rid of all the rivet counters from years past...
