Hey, Larry...well not quite...grew up in BC, all the family that is still alive and kicking are there, but after joining USAF and getting discharged at March AFB in southern CA decided to stay...now in northern California...had more of a midwestern vibe than the SoCal-LA mega-metropolis zoo.

I posted Calhoun County, because I still feel I was lucky to begin life with a good foundation of Michigan roots.

Ha! I grew up in southwestern Michigan as well... Though I use "soda" since I spent years living down in Indianapolis and then out in New Hampshire before moving back to northern Indiana just south of where I started. I did spend some time in the Bay Area, and you're right -- once you got into more rural northern California it seemed a lot more like the midwest. Or at least it did back in the 1980s...

I was wondering why it jumped up so high, was going to say, there is absolutely no way I've posted that much with this account. Thank you!

Ok can't Edit My Last Post to Merge,*. Born in The Old Bartow General Hospital( No Longer Standing ) in Bartow,FL. Winter Haven,FL's My Home-Town. I've lived in several different places throughout FL & Polk County during My Youth. One Alot may know of is Mulberry,FL due to Its Rich Phosphate-Railroad History. But to cut down on Town names till Attalla,AL recently,..I was able to Move to Gadsden,Al for a bit before going back to South GA for awhile. Then in '16, went back to Gadsden for a few years. Tried Montgomery,AL, but didn't work out. Last after Gadsden, it's been Attalla,AL here.

Yorkville IL about 45 miles outside of Chicago. Grew up in a western suburb of Wheaton IL about milepost 26 on the former CNW now Uncle Pete. Wheaton was also the hub of a interurban railroad the Chicago Aurora and Elgin. More trains and railroading in this region then you can shake a stick at!

Also the Chicago area. Grew up within bike ride distance of Deval Junction. Now living a little further outside that but still along the CNW Harvard subdivision.
