Danny Harmon, who has the Distant Signal YouTube channel recently posted this video on the Fitz Sub, going from Waycross to Manchester. It's another enjoyable production and should help fire the imagination while operating on the Run 8 version.

Wow nice find. I subscribe to so many YouTubers including Danny Hammond that many I wind up missing as it doesn't suggest if I haven't watched in a while.
This video was from 2000 to 2010. Note that the diamond now at Waycross went in in 2007 I believe so this is prototypical to what is being modeled at Waycross.
However keep in mind that there is a brand new siding that wasn't added in Jason's Fitzgerald Sub in 2000/2001 Santee MP775 which was a new vader signal 10K+ foot siding as part of CSX's track upgrades.
Also note that 2001 CSX ran tons of foreign power which helps a bit in how Run8 likes to spawn power on trains
Thanks

Thanks Sean, good info! One thing I noted was, in the camera work, the grade changes are really evident and look huge(!) giving me a better sense of the changes in the sim.

I really want to pick this up but I'm afraid I wouldn't get much use out of it. That is a shame because the territory looks awesome!
Thanks

Santee was 2004 also there was an extension south of the south end of Manchester, we modeled it for a specific time frame just before those capacity enlargements were added, they also rerouted the Lineville main sandwiching manchester yard which was not included
Yeah Jason is right. The new sidings at Santee, Bartlett and Ambrose were all done sometime post 2004. I want to say around 2007 when they did the Waycross diamond. Other post 2004 improvements that were done was the double track from Manchester to Woodland as well as the double track from Bolen to Waycross. CSX has poured a ton of money into the Fitz over the past couple decades.
Anyway, Danny's video is excellent and really captures the route well. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
