No hair loss on this one.... but yes, I also noticed several sites with DB related issues.

If anything, it's forced me to review the backup policy here. I thought I had a good handle on it, and still found a few things that needed to be updated in the run-book for recovery.... (and yes, I believe in run books as an IT best practice especially on things you hope you won't have to do very often).

Yep, the site was down for most of Tuesday, but it's back.

Sometime overnight Monday, the site's databases experienced an anomaly which forced a rebuild from backups. Fortunately, we had good backups from Monday around 8pm, and the file uploads weren't affected at all aside from missing in the catalog.

Right now, things appear stable. There may have been a few posts or private messages lost, but a few were able to be recovered and restored. All of the files uploaded yesterday...

By design, the Consist Editor only touches consist files, so auto-correct wouldn't really apply to wag/eng files.

Several months. Section search is now incorporated into the main search - select a section or subsection from the dropdown and search without keywords....

What was being corrected was an old format that allowed for mixing feet with inches, and the original MSTS Kuju SD40 used that style of notation.
